In Southwest Allen County, the forest features beech trees and giant oaks, flowering dogwood and paw paw, and a wildflower display. It is habitat for squirrels, raccoons and great horned owls.
The wooded west 28 acres was acquired in 1976, a gift of Mabel Corville, Glenn Fogwell and Mildred Klopfenstein. The 30-acre meadow on the east side was purchased in 2004. A .5 mile loop trail leads through the woods.
The original 28 wooded acres have been dedicated through IDNR's Division of Nature Preserves.
