East of Huntertown in Allen County. From Fort Wayne travel north on I-69 to exit 116 (SR 1/Dupont Road). Turn left (west) onto Dupont Road and then right (north) onto Auburn Road. After 4-½ miles, Auburn Road swings right toward the interstate and becomes Vandolah Road.  Auburn Road turns left here, but go straight, following Vandolah Road under the interstate and immediately turn right (south) up Tother Road. Look for the ACRES parking lot at the top of the hill. Driving distance from I-69/I-469 to the preserve is 6 miles.

A gift received from Byron Stellhorn in 1989.  47 acres with a 1.5 mile loop trail.

45.5 of the 47 acres have been dedicated through IDNR's Division of Nature Preserves.

Trails cross ravines and old fields to a spectacular high escarpment with views of meandering Cedar Creek below.  Wood ducks, green heron and great blue heron frequent the marsh.  Wildflowers include twinleaf, hepatica, dutchman's breeches, bloodroot and anemones.  For a longer hike, continue upstream along the creek under I-69.
