Forty acres of the Popp property near Cedarville was donated by Jeannette Kent in 1996. The 40 acres are behind the residence of Emanuel M. Popp, who donated the land. 20 of the 40 acres have been dedicated through IDNR's Division of Nature Preserves. In the spring the preserve has a spectacular display of Dutchman's breeches, squirrel corn, bloodroot and white trout lily. |
