Oliver, Olin and Martin Lakes form an important natural system in northeast Indiana.  Olin is the largest Indiana lake with an undeveloped shoreline, protected by the Olin Lake Nature Preserve.  A public trail through this preserve leads to south shore of Olin Lake.

Our 5-acre Martin Lake preserve, acquired in 1983, is a high knob with a significant stand of white, red and chinquapin oaks.  There are no trails in or to the preserve.  It is open by permission only and you can reach the property by either following the edge of the field in the Peterman Preserve to it or walking back along the road and slipping through the fence at the ACRES property line signs.
