North of Leo-Cedarville in Allen County. From Fort Wayne travel north on I-69 to exit 116 (SR 1/Dupont Road). Turn right (east) on SR 1, then left (north) on Tonkel Road. After about 4-½ miles turn right (east) onto Hollowpeter Road, then left (north) onto Hull Road. Look for the Foxfire Woods Preserve sign on your right, by the lane going to the preserve. Driving distance from I-69/I-469 to the preserve is 9 miles. Glenn and Winifred Poe gifted these 8 acres in 1974. There is a loop trail. Fringed on the west by wild plum and hawthorn trees, this is a high, well-drained woods, predominantly of oak and hickory. The woods bears the name of foxfire, an unusual fungus which glows in the dark.
