 ACRES,
Inc. was incorporated
on March 2, 1960 under the Indiana General Not For Profit Corporation
Act of March 7, 1935 and became subject to the provisions of the
Indiana Nonprofit Corporation Act of 1991, Indiana Code 23-17 (the
"Act"), on August 1, 1993.
We were incorporated exclusively for charitable,
educational and scientific purposes and by charitable, educational and
scientific means with five general purposes:

1.) As a part of the continued growth of
the communities in which it operates, as a land trust to acquire
interests in and to preserve natural areas and to discourage
unnecessary development of natural areas.
2.) Impartially to educate communities as
to the value to them of the preservation of natural areas.
3.) To promote the knowledge and
appreciation of natural areas as living museums.
4.) To develop such scientific,
educational and public recreational uses of natural areas as are
consistent with their preservation as living museums.
5.) To cooperate with and to encourage
other organizations and individuals in carrying out the foregoing
activities.

Our office is at 1802 Chapman Road.
Directions to the office depend on where you are:
From the south (Fort Wayne) take Coldwater
Road. Chapman Road is the first road after crossing Cedar Creek. Turn
right onto Chapman Road and look for the ACRES LAND TRUST OFFICE sign
on your right.
From the north (Garrett) get onto SR 327
headed south. Chapman Road is the first road left after you
cross the Allen County line and SR 327 becomes Coldwater Road.
Turn left onto Chapman Road and look for the ACRES LAND TRUST OFFICE
sign
on your right.
From the south on I-69 take exit 116 (SR 1 -
Dupont Road). Turn left (west) onto Dupont Road and at the fifth
traffic light turn right onto Coldwater Road. Chapman Road is
the first road after crossing Cedar Creek. Turn right onto Chapman
Road and look for the ACRES LAND TRUST OFFICE sign
on your right.
From the north on I-69 take exit 126 (Kruse
Auction). Turn right (southwest) onto CR11 and follow it all the
way to the end where it connects at the point SR 327 becomes Coldwater
Road. Turn left onto Coldwater Road. The next left is
Chapman Road. Turn left onto Chapman Road and look for the ACRES LAND TRUST
OFFICE sign
on your right.
From the east (Leo) take Vandolah Road west
and under I-69. After that the first road right is Auburn Road.
Turn right onto Auburn Road, then left onto Chapman Road (2nd road).
Look for the ACRES LAND TRUST OFFICE sign
on your right.
From SR 3 (Huntertown) turn east onto Shoaff
Road. It will end at Coldwater Road, where you need to turn left
and then immediately turn right onto Chapman Road. Look for the ACRES LAND TRUST
OFFICE sign
on your right.
